Carter won the Rowmark skier award. The award is for the skier who not only improved during the season, but also showed the right attitude, encouraged his teammates and represented Rowmark. His parents are very proud of him.

Carter just returned from the Nastar National Championships in Steamboat, CO. Carter won first place in the Gold Division. He got to go to the top of the podium and was given a gold medal. The gold medal is currently residing bedside and never far out of reach. He and his buddy Ethan had a wonderful time tearing up the slopes and showing off their medals.

Arden went up the big lift and skied Success at Deer Valley. The whole run she screamed "Yes I can" and then "I just did it" at the end.
. . .
I did it. That is what Arden was screaming as she skied so big runs at Deer Valley.

Merry Christmas !! We had a wonderful day. Mommy and Daddy got us a roller coaster, they are nuts. Santa brought us what we asked for in our letters. I guess we were good kids. Nana and Papa got us computers.
. . .
X-Mas eve was a very exciting night.
. . .
Heidi and Tad came over with their new baby, Rex. He is so cute. Arden just loved him.
. . .
The holidays have been lots of fun. Carter had his Holiday concert. We even had an elf come live in our house. He flew back to Santa each day to say whether we were good or bad. Good of course.

We went on an adventure with Dad to Moab. What fun. We went to Canyonlands and the Arches National Parks plus we went whitewater rafting. I love the "bouldering" and I hiked to crazy places.

This is the view line from the master bedroom working from left to right. Of course, the view can go very quickly in a winterwonderland.
. . .
The form of the house is complete and luckily there is a roof, since we got snow this weekend. The outside of the chimney has also been built. We are very excited about the rock work.
. . .
More fun things for Carter and Arden. Grandma and Grandpa came to town. We snuggled in the morning with our milk. We got our first snow the other day as well. Big fun with snowballs.

We just back from a wonderful trip to Japan. The following is our trip in reverse order
. . .
Tokyo was amazing. I loved the plastic food but I would much rather eat the McDonalds we found. Arden agreed french fries on the boat tour made her happy.
. . .
WE did a lot of fun things, we wore Japanese outfits, we slept on the floor, we cracked Watermelons and we rode really cool bikes that were made in Sarasota, Florida.
. . .
Our next stop was in the mountains at a really nice hotel. They called it swamp but it is a lake just another word lost in Japanese translations of English. We went Kayaking and had a nice lunch afterwards, we caught bugs, and I ate peanut butter jelly sandwich with chopsticks
. . .
We went peach picking. The boats rocked.
. . .
There is nothing better than time with cousins. Of course and my wonderful Aunt, Uncle and Grandma and Grandpa.
. . .
I caught the biggest fish of the trip. We were staying at a gorgeous spot and we loved the Japanese baths inside and the outside hot tub. It is always great to see my cousins.
. . .
Our trip to Japan had numerous highlights. One of those was our fishing trip. As you might have noticed it doesn't matter the country Arden still can find a microphone and I still need to cover my ears.
. . .
. . .
We saw all our sitters, Rach, Jessica and Maria and her new husband Peter
. . .
We went to Seattle and Arden got see lots of her friends. The first pictures are with Jackson, Chris and Ro's baby. Then it was Arden with her great friend Elsie and she played with Halle Adam
. . .
. . .
One of the most fun days we have had this summer was going out on Jordanelle with our friends Berkeley and Brian. I went out on the tub and had a blast
. . .
Grandma and Grandpa came to town for the 4th of July. We went to the Olympic Park and took the zip track. Yes that is me in the Zip Seat.
. . .
The house continues. They are laying down the radiant heating in the basement.
. . .
Carter's T-Ball season just ended and he loved it. Carter even got an out near the end of the season when he fielded a grounder and ran to tag the hitter. Arden is always putting on a show. The new guitar is a big hit.
. . .
Golf has become a popular event for the kids. Carter went to a three day golf school (4 hours a day). His swing is the best in the family. Arden likes to ride the carts but on occasion lets on rip and shocks us all.
. . .
Progress is being made. The foundation has been poured. The framing is just a few weeks away.
. . .
LOOK WHAT WE LEARNED TODAY -- BOOGIE BOARDING. Carter met a 7 year old girl named Julianna. She taught Carter how to Boogie Board. Not bad for a kid that two months ago wouldn't put his head under water.
. . .
. . .
The Hawaii adventures continue. We went to a Luau and then went down 130 feet on a sub and got to see really cool fish
. . .
. . .
Fun in the pool is our newest adventure. Carter and Arden are both learning to swim. Look at Carter taking a breath when he swims, Nana taught him that.
. . .
The Maui Ocean Center is always great fun
. . .
. . .
. . .
Then we went to Hawaii. The kids are having a blast. We even celebrated papa's birthday.
. . .
End of the school year. Arden's school had a children's fair and the kids got their face painted. Carter had a party. Here are Carter and his teachers and then with his friend Locklin.
. . .
Construction update -- pouring the footings.
